African Warfare.
NORTHERN NIGERIA. t The escort with the British Commission recently despatched to establish posts between Lake Tchad and Sokoto came into collision with the natives. They succeeded in capturing a stockaded town a hundred miles northward of the Niger. The tribes in the district are in a restless state. THE MULLAH. Reuter’s correspondent at Aden reports that a battle has taken place between Abyssinians and the Mullah. A thousand were killed, and the Mullah’s mother was captured.
