Interests in Persia.
Viscount Cranborne, Under-Secre-tary For Foreign Affairs, speaking in the House of Commons, said it was the opinion of the British Government that an amicable understanding between Great Britain and Russia in regard to their respective interests in Persia and elsewhere was desirable The -question was now being discussed by the two Governments.
