Messrs Abraham and Williams report At Palmerston we had a full yarding of stock, considerably in excess of advertised entries, ' Bidding for sheep was fairly brisk, and recent prices were maintained. Forward lambs for rape purposes were keenly competed tor. Inferior a-tooths were dull of sale. In cattle we had a large entry of grown steers. For these buyers were present, but held oft very much. Young cattle maintained their prices, but tat cattle were at lower values. Quotations Sheep.—Fat ewes from los 3d to 12s; a-tooth store |ewes and wethers 7s 2d to 9s *d, a and 4 tooth forward wethers, 9s 4d to ias6d, good forward lambs 6s $d to 9s id, medium store lambs 3s nd to 5s 3d. Cattle.— Fat cows £5 10s to £6 ss, i\ to 3 year steers £3 33 to £4 15s, af to 3 year heifers £5 ios to £4 16s, weaaer heifers 27s 6d td*33S, weaner steers 253 to 30s. '
