The Auburn Murder.

Woolford, groom at the Auburn Hotel, one of three arrested on suspicion of complicity in the murder of Constable Long, has made a written statement to the effect that on the night of the murder he met Grand and another man pamed Jonas, and they arranged for robbing the hotel. He refused to take any active part in the proceedings, watching outside. He saw Long enter and heard a shot fired. Grand and Jones then rushed out, and escaped in a sulky they had in waiting.
