FIGHTING WITH THE REVOLUTIONISTS.Fivf hundred of President Castro’s forces saccessf ally defended Cumana, on the north coast, for seven hours, capturing two hundred out of eleven hundred Revolutionists ; also three hundred Mauser rifles and thirty thousand cartridges. The President Castro have levied two and a half million bolivars 1 (£IOO,000) on the Rio Chico and Caracas merchants, including two hundred thousand bolivars from Messrs Guzmah and Blanco’s firm. General Penaensa, a distinguished Venezuelan, reflecting the views of most of hia countrymen, excepting General Castro’s supporters, has addressed a letter to the President (General Castro) urging him to resign, since the British and German hostility was simply directed against himself.
