.. —— : — Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report as follows : On Tuesday we held a successful sale at Oroua Downs on accpunt of Mr J. R. McLennan. There was a large attendance and spirited bidding for all lots offered, the draught horses especially exciting keen competition, a number of outside buyers being present. The prices for draught geldings ranged" from £3O to £52 10s; buggy horses, £l4 5s to £l4 10s ; light unbroken horses. £5 to £10; yeading half-draughts, £8 to £l3 10slight fat cows, £6 15s to £7 7s; store cows, £4 19s; 18months steers, £3 2s; dairy cows, £5 to £7; porkers, 295, Agricultural machinery, farm implements, and sundries at good prices. At Palmersten on Thursday we had an average yarding of stock, and everything was sold with the exception of a line of 4-th wethers. We quoto—Fat cows, £6 12s to £7 7s ; 2-| and 8-yr steers, £5 2s 6d to £5 6s ; 18-months half-bred Jersey heifers, £4 4s ; forward cows, £6 17s 6d ; yearling heifers, £2 lls 6d; 18-months steers, £3 15s ; 18-mths heifers, £3 12s ; springing cows, £7 to £B. Fat ewes, 13s 3d ; 2-ths, 10s to lls.
