Patrick Kenniff Hanged.
Patrick Kenniff was executed for complicity in the murder at Carnarvon station of Constable Doyle and Mr Dalke. Death was instantaneous.
Standing on the scaffold, Kenniff said: “Before God, I solemnly declare that I am innocent of the crime for which I am condemned.”
The body of Patrick Kenniff was buried on Monday in South Brisbane cemetery. Four hundred persons, including the deceased’s father and brothers} attended the funeral. A large number of wreaths were sent by sympathisers.
