Rivers for Water Power.
The Mayor of Obristehuroh (Mr Wigram) sent a telegram to the Premier informing kirn of the inability of Colonel luufotim, the famous electrical engineer, to visit New Zealand to report on the adaptability of its water-power, and asking if tbs^ t %' re!fnraoQfc intended taking action iu matter. Ho has received Oirofly 'stating that the subjeot haJm e n before the Cabinet, and it had bX, n tfiekW to obtain two electrical from Switzerland and oWdrom America. The matter bad bltg left in the hands of the Minister &r Public Works to deal with. The igenfc-Ganoral would enquire with regard to a Swiss expert, and would arrange details, while the Minister would hiipself arrange for obtaining American expert.
