Out of four Russian torpedo destroyers intended to pass two have passed through the Dardanelles besides unarmed torpedo boats. The German newspaper “ Yossisobe Zeitung," commenting on tho incident, says t . “The Russian scythe is mowing down British opposition all over the globe. The British protest against Russian torpedo boats pawing the Dardanelles is mere paper, valuelesi unless backed by force—-probably the last thing Britain contemplate*. The fuatrel will >oon subside, ana Russia will prevail.” Correspondents o! English paper* declare that these views reflect the non-official opinion held at Beilin.
