Foxton Borough Council.
A special meeting of the Council was held on Tuesday evening at the Library Buildings. ■ The meeting was called to take preliminary steps re loan proposals for metalling the outer roads. Proposed by Cr Gower, seconded by Cf Robinson, That the Mayor be authorised to see Mr Alzdorf and try to arrange with him to make out estimates for the roads? included in the list. Carried. ■ Proposed by the Mayor, seconded by Cr Symons, That the clerk inquire of the District Engineer of Railways if the Department will sell to the Council the metal dredged from the river, and if so state price. Carried. :
