Owing to unforseen obstacles it has been found impossible to open the, cricket season before to-morrow when the match, Captain v. Deputy

Captain will start punctually at 2.30 p.m. in Mr Haywood’s paddock. All lovers of cricket are requested to roll up, and those in the country if they see this paragraph it is to bo hoped will attend. At 7 p.m. to-night the ground will be rolled, and the town members of the club are requested to assist in making the pitch suitable.
