New Warships.
TENDERS FOR BATTLESHIPS. The Admiralty is inviting tenders for a new class of battleships of 18,000 tons, the fastest and most heavily-armoured afloat. One is to be built at Devonport, and one or two in private shipyards. Tenders are .also being called for four twenty-three-knofc, good seagoing vessels of 3000 tons each to act as scouts.
