The police authorities in Sydney have been advised from Melbourne that a constable named Johnson waa shot de;:d in attempting to arrest a man, who immediately shot himself dead.
The man is believed to be Shaw, who was wanted in connection with the recent murder of Constable Guilfoyle. No details are available., A constable has left foe Melbourne to identify the dead man.
