Shearers’ Pay.
The terms of the agreement coma to by the Patoralists Association and Shearers’UnionHours 5 a.m. to 5 p.m., or 5.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m., with Intervals for meals and smokes as mutually arranged; shearing to cease 4 p.m. Saturdays, except in cases when 48 hours and 20 minutes’ work has ueen done before noon, in which cases work stops at noon; prices, machine 15a 6d per 100, except for stud sheep, for which a special agreement will be made; rams over 12 months old double rates no shearer shall be compelled to handle wet or cancered sheep. In machine work the employer finds all necessary gear, but the shearer pays tor scrubs and cutters at cost price. Freedom of contract outside unionists to be allowed. When more that 25 per cent, oi sheep require digging this to be done before the sheep come to the shed; dagging done by shearers as 6d per 100 when the percentage exceeds 25. The agreement is to last for three years.
