JOHNSONVILLE MARKET.
Messrs Freeman R, Jackson and Co.‘ (in conjunction with Messrs Abraham and Williams), report on their Johnsonville sale as follows :—■
A full yarding of cattle, mostly of prime quality, with a few good cows and one prime heifer, made up the entry. Owing to the presence of city buyers, competition was very keen for beef, and made from 238 s to 30s per loolbs. Best bullocks, £l2 7s 6d to £l3 7s 6d ; others, £9 2s 6d to £ll X 39 6d; prime heifers, £ll 15s; cows £8 53 to £8 13s 6d. Sheep were in full supply the bulk of good to prime quality, and were not so low as last week. Prime wethers, , igsgd ; others, 15s ltd to 173; small ; f wethers, rasgd; ewes lis to 14s.
