Wedding.
A wedding which attracted considerable attention took place at Taonui this afternoon, when Miss Matilda Mitchell, of Waireka, Rangitikel Line, and QuartermasterSergeant Arthur S. Jonson, of Poxton, of the Sixth Contingent, were united in the bonds of holy matrimony. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. I. Jolly at the residence of the bride’s mother, Ran£itikei Line. The bride, who was given away by her uncle, Mr W. .Mitchell, of Kiwitea, was charmingly attired in French grey cloth trimmed with silk. The bridegroom was supported by Mr Alex. Mitchell. After the ceremony (says yesterday’s Standard), a wedding breakfast was served, and the happy couple left by train for the North, They were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents. The bridegroom’s presents to the bride and bridesmaids were a diamond ring and gold brooches respectively. The handsome bouquets carried by the bridal party were made by Miss Lovelock,
