Riotous Shearers.
A force of shearers proceeded to the huts at Wingadao, with the intention of forcibly taking from the huts the non-unionist shearers.
The police confronted the men, who were masked, and armed with sticks. Some of the latter were thrown at the police, who then fired in the air, and the shearers made off.
