Break-up of the Drought.
Relief has at last come to a large portion of the drought-stricken areas in Australia.
Useful rains have fallen in the north-western districts'and along the Queensland border, and lighter over the Riveriua and the coastal districts and at Bourka. Over an inch and a half was registered at many stations, and over the Darling river country there are equal records. It is still raining. _ The good news was received with, much rejoicing in Sydney. In the Legislative Assembly the Premier (Sir John See) said the Assembly would join with him in expressing devout thankfulness to Almighty God for the rainfall, which meant the saving of much wealth and the alleviation of much suftering.
Good rain has fallen in the northern areas of South Australia.
