A special meeting of the above was held last night. All the councillors were present with the exception of Or Gower. The following resolutions were carried!«“
Proposed by Or Westwood, seconded by Or Symons, That referring to the report of Inspector Kendall on the sanitation of fcho Borough that this Council bring into force the earth pan system, and that wo proceed at once to frame bye-laws relating thereto. Prososed by Cr Purcell, seconded by Cr Robinson, That the Town Clerk be asked to furnish from the bye-laws relative to night-soil from] the various local bodies and submit | to the next general meeting of the ( Council for their approval. f Proposed by Or Purcell, seconded by Cr Robinson, That the tender of J. Speirs for roofing the Library buildings, according to specifications, for the sum of £2O los be accepted.
