The King.
REMOVAL TO THE SEASIDE.
Six sailors, under the superintendence of Sir Frederick Treves, surgeon to the King, carried King Edward on a couch to au ambulance.
His Majesty was driven to Victoria Station, and transferred from the couch to a train. The greatest privacy was maintained, the platform being screened."
The King was exceedingly well, and in excellent spirits. His Majesty’s doctors and attendants alone witnessed his embarkation on the Victoria and Albert at Portsmouth. „
The trip to Cowes was much enjoyed. The King was placed high enough to see out of the pavilion on the deck, and was greatly pleased with change. Sir Francis Knollys telegraphed from Cowes at midnight that the journey was most successful, and the King was none the worse for it.
