The Persian Gulf.
The Porte has asked, for a recall of the British Consul at Basra, a town of Asiatic Turkey, on the west band of the Euphrates, fifty-six miles from Its -
mouth in the Persian Gulf. There are indications that Russia or Germany is supporting Turkey in reopening the Koweyt question.
