The Cuban Republic.
President Roosevelt; in a letter to Seoor Estrada Palma, President ot the Cuban Republic, expressed friendship and good wishes for the stability of the new republic. The Cuban colours were hoisted with great rejoicings. The American cavalry and warships have now been withdrawn. Mr John Hay, United States Secre tary of State, has infomed the Powers of the independence of Cuba. The .House of Representatives passed a unanimous resolution welcoming the birth of the Cuban Republic.
