The Duka of Connaught, on behalf of King Edward, invested King Alfonse in Spain—-who became of age on Saturday on reaching his sixteenth year—with the Order of the Garter, The ceremony was a brilliant one. ARREST OF ANARCHISTS. Gabriel Lopez, a messenger in an insurance company, was arrested at Madrid with nine dynamite cartridges in his possession. He con fessed that they were given him to throw at King Alfonso. Other fellow conspirators have been arrested. They include a student, a printer, a joiner and a mason. King Alfonso took the oath to the Constitution in the presence of members of the Cortes. The Te Deum was sung in the Church of San Francisco, where a magnificent medioeval procession was arranged. Newspapers which published a manifesto by Don Carlos emphasising the Joss of the Spanish colonies have been suppressed.
