Tattersall’s Sweeps.

The Hon. N. E. Lewis, Premier of Tasmania, has sent a strongly-worded latter to the Federal Government, relenting the tyrannical powers assumed in connection with sweep correspondence. Mr Lewis says he has directed all Government correspondence with Mr Adams to be delivered by hand instead of through the post. Mr Lewis addsl am driven by vour action to direct that no proceedings shall be instituted by us if letters from any person addressed to Mr Adams are delivered by hand instead of through the Post Office, as prescribed by State law.” This virtually clears the way for the intermediary of agents acting for investors Outside Tasmania.
