Assassination in Russia

Bolschanett, a student at Kieff University, who was punished for rioting last year, drove up in a carriage disguised aa an officer and obtained admission to the Imperial Conncii Ministers’ Offices at St. Petersburg. When M. Sipiaguine, Minister for the Interior, arrived Bolschanett handed him a document purporting to come from the Grand Duke Sergius, and simultaneously fired six shots from a revolver. M. Sipiaguine and hia servant were mortally wounded. The Minister died in an hour. The assassin, when arrested, declared that he had vowed vengeance for the treatment he had received at Kieff.
