Messrs Abraham & Williams, Ltd., report as follows: — At Palmerston on Thursday we had a good yarding of sheep, but cattle were not up to usual numbers, very few grown steers being penned. A better demand existed for sheep, especially sound-mouth ewes in forward condition for fattening, a good inquiry existing for this class, all except three lines of sheep were sold mostly under the hammer on an advance on recent prices. Quiet heifers and young cattle sold well and wo .made a total clearance. Fat ewes 9a 9d to 10s, forward ewes 7s 9d to 8s 2d, forward wethers Da 4d, store ewes 5s to 6s Bd, cull ewes 2s 6d to 4s, store wethers 8s 2d, lambs 8s 9d to 4s. Three year steers £5 19s, fat cows £4 17b to £5 17s, springing cows £6, empty 2-year heifers £2 19s 6d, 18-month and 2year steers £2 15s 26s to 87s, small weaners 14s to 20s, yearling steers £2 to £2 18s, cows m milk £4 IBs to £6.
