The Valdare’s Company.

Much interest is being evinced by the general public over the advent of the famed Valdaro’s Company, who open in Foxton on next Thursday evening, the 17th. A crowded house is assured to welcome the advent o these talented entertainers. . The Wanganui Chronicle speaking of the Company says -.—The management had every reason to feel satisfied with “ the treasury ’’ last night, for the downstairs part of the Opera House was full to overflowing and upstairs was particularly well patronised. Since they were last in Wanganui, there has been hut little, if any, alteration in the style of entertainment, which, be it stated, is brimful of variety, and mention may be further made that a moment is experienced. The three Valdares certainly maintain their reputation as trick riders on the bicycle, and the ease with which many difficult feats are performed cannot but prove impressive—especially to the yonpger patrons. The Valdares are well supported, each member in bis or her “ turn ’’being proficent in their particular line of business. For instance, there is Zamoni' as a magician in the black art, with up-to-date “ patter, and also a ventriloquist with quips and cranks from his wooden family of sufficient merit to make a cat laugh. Then there is the tramp cyclist, Mr Tom Powers, who must be seen to be thoroughly appreciated. The sisters Val are adepts in their performances on the wire, their waltzing, pirouetting, passing, and carrying eaeh other on an almost imperceptible wire being worthy of mention. Amongst others in the company are Hons. Ado, a skilful juggler and equilibrist; Miss Beattie Galardi, serio-comic vocalist and danseuse; Mr Richard Shepherd, a baritone vocalist; and Mr Tom Hartford. The two associated together as eccentric comedians were very good. Every item on the programme was heartily encored. The second performance of the season will be given in the Opera House this evening, when there should be another large audience. '
