A meeting of the above Society •will be held in the Methodist Schoolroom on Sunday evening at 810 o’clock. . ~ This Society exists for the purpose of circulating the Scriptures in every language and now prints the Bible, or portions of it, in about 861 different languages or dialects, and last year reached a total of and by means of depots and 725 Colporteurs and 552 Biblewomen seeks to put these into the hands of every person in every part of the world, especially in those parts where the ordinary missionary cannot go. it employs 800 colporteurs in China alone, and last year circulated 72b,000 copies principally portions and in some places the Bib 6 h^ s keen made a text book in the Civil Service Examinations. The agent for hi.A, the Rev. F. H. Spencer will give an address on “ The Bible Work in ' Africa,” Illustrated with lantern views.
