FACIS AND FICTION. Dr von Holleben, the German Ambassador in Washington, invited Admiral Dewey to meet Prince Henry of Prussia at dinner during the Prince’s visit, but the Admiral was unable to accept the invitation owing to his wife being ill. Admiral Dewey went to Florida in order to avoid Prince Henry’s reception. No leading naval officer connected with the engagement at Manila attended.
