Volunteer Notes.

The camp equipage has arrived by the s.s. Queen of the South. The match, Foxton v Palmerston will bo fired to-morrow. The firing will commence at 10 o’clock. The Foxton team are Col.-Sergt. G Gray. Se.rgt. Mitchell, Bugler Newth, Privates G. Jonson, E. Smith, E. Ball, F. Hooker. Emergencies,. W. Nye and C. Hand.

The following are the names of the Palmerston team who are to compete : —Sergt. Merriman, Corporal Collis, Privates Lee, Lewis, L- Newth, Feeney, Drew.

The two trophies for the best scoring in the match to-morrow, given by the Foxton Rifles to the best score on either side, a couple of handsome clocks are to be seen in Mr Smith’s window.

The volunteers will go into camp to morrow evening.
