Foxton Athletic Sports Club.

A general meeting of the above Club was held last night at the Post Office Hotel to adopt the balance sheet for year 1891, Mr G. Gray being in the chair.

The minutes ot previous meeting was read and confirmed. - The balance sheet, showing total receipts to have been £133 i§s, and expenditure £ll4 18s yd, leaving a credit balance in hand of £lB 17s 5d was read. Mr Langley proposed, and Mr Ball seconded, That the balance sheet as read be adopted. . After considerable discussion the balance sheet was unanimously adopted. , ... A vote of thanks was heartily accorded Mr MacDermott for valuable services to Club, also to Messrs Geo. Gray and C. Austin for acting as auditors for the past year. It was resolved that a half-yearly meeting be held on tho first Monday in May. A vote of thanks to Mr Gray for use of room and for acting as chairman, concluded the meeting.
