The School Concert.
Te-morrow nipht the popular entertainment of the State School, will be given at the Public Hall. The audience, if up to anything like the past, will be a crowded one, and besides the pleasure of witnessing one's own children, and those of our neighbour's, particularly good for a short period, the items provided will be very pleasing. There can be no doubt but the working up for to-morrow night has been " painful and free " but we have full trust in the ultimate success. How many children are engaged no one can say, authoritatively* thenumbers possibly being too vast? forr the programme apologetically mentions a few items by "24 girls," "20 boys " Ac. Th« first part is made vp of aolw.
duets, and action songs; theft the second part is termed "Tambourine drill " but we have heard it rumoured it will be a very pretty skirt dance; and th« third part is a debate on " The Good Old Times." Solos will also be contributed by Mrs Wool lass, and Mr W. Cook during the evening.
