♦ December. — Everything will be in full growth. The hoe must never be idle. Sow beet, Early Horn carrot, scarlet runner and French beans, turnip, lettuce, radish, cabbage, spinach, endive, cauliflower, and early sorts -of peas and beans. Earth up cabbages, potatoes, &c. Dress asparagus and sea kale beds with i lb. of salt to the square yard, and give asparagus and rhubarb liquid manure. Plant out celery. ________
