Sports Committee Meeting.
0, ♦ ■ A meeting of the above Committee was held on Tuesday night at 8 o'clock Mr T. J. Mitchell occupying the chair. The balance sheet on being read showed a very satisfactory balance of £13 is id, and was adopted as follows : — Balance-sheet of sports held on November 9th, 1900 : Receipts— To nomination and acceptances, £11 8s 6d ; sale of booth, £1 2s 6d ; Football Club donation, £4 ; Kidd 2s, Burr 2s 6d, Preston 10s, B. Austin 2rs, H. Coley 10s, C. Collins senr. ss; Forester's Lodge, £2 10s ; donation from A. C. Stansell,£6; right of shooting gallery, ss ; gate money, - £14 os 2d. Total, £41 163 Bd. Expenditure— By prize money (cash), £18 7s 6d : labor (scouting), V 2s 6d ; tram fares band, £2 9s 6d ; advertising, £2 17s 6d ; luncheons, £1 7s od; GjH- Stiles, us 4d ; cartage, ss ; A. C. Stansell, £1 2s ; Foxton Borough Council, 10 per cent, gate money, £x 8s ; W. 8, Rhodes, as 3d ;
stamps, &c, 2s 6d ; Balance in band, £13 is id. Total, £41 16s Bd. E. Ball \ Joint Geo. Gray i Secretaries. It was resolved that a donation ol £2 2s be given to the Sandon Band for their services, which were very much appreciated and highly commended \ upon. A resolution was also passed thanking the donors of all trophies given for the liberal manner in which they had responded. Resolved, that the next meeting be called for in May next, for the purpose of torming an Athletic Club and general. Resolved that the balance of eleven pounds be placed in the Post Office Savings Bank. Thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
