+ The Match Committee appointed by the local Club to arrange the handicapping in the tournaments about to take place was held on Tuesday night at the secretary's residence. Handicaps were allotted : — Men's Singles, 50 points up : W. Cook, scr. ; \\£. Hamer and Geo. Stiles, 12 points ; P. Collins and T. Betty, 18; W. Edwards, 20 ; A. Fraser and E. Hunter, «5 ; A. Stansell and J. Gillespie, 30. Ladies' Singles, of 40 points : Miss P. Collins, scr. ; Misses A. Purcell and H. Collins, 5 ; Misses Ed. Collins, Hamer and Wanklyn 15 ; Misses Voysey, Fraser and Cook, 20 ; Miss HenJj/essy, 25 ; Miss May Collins, 12. ' "The drawing of opponents then took place for the first round, and resulted as follows :— Gillespie plays Edwards ; Cook plays Stansell ; Stiles plays Betty; Hamer plays Fraser; F. Collins plays E. Hunter. Miss P. Collins plays Miss H. Collins; Miss Fraser plays Miss L. Cook; Miss Hamer plays Miss Voysey ; Miss Purcell plays Miss Hennessy ; Miss Ed.
