Major Esterhazy, who was the principal figure in the prosecution of Captain Dreyfus, and after makingseveral confessions fled to England, has now made before the French Consul-General in London a con.fession covering several columns, incrai??sS»9g Colonel Paty -du Clam, the late Colonel Henry and • Generals Billot, Bo^deffre, Gonse and Sausaier. •
Esterhazy states that the bordereau on which Dreyfus was convicted was forged, and that the letters alleged to be from the Kaiser were fabricated. Ho re-asserts that he acted in obedience to the orders of members of the General Staff. This deposition was not communicated to the Amnesty Commission, for whom it was intended.
