Court Pride of Foxton. A.O.F.
■■ ♦ On the 22nd August the above Lodge g;ive their second annual ball in the Public Hall, Foxton. The expenses are necessarily heavy, as the ball is given in first-class style, and the last was very much enjoyed. There is no idea of making money out of.the dance, but as the Lodge is but young they have no desire to incur any loss, so lhat the heartier the response to their invitations so will the hearts of the Committee be lightened. The Lodge has banded together to secure attention in sickness, and those who are not members derive some advantage owing to the arranged bi-weekly visits of a medical man who attends to the Lodge patients. We do flot doubt, these circumstances being considered, that one and all will lend a hand by securing a ticket, even if unable to attend, so to secure the second annual ball being even better than the first one. Tickets may be obtained from members.of the Committee and from Mr Geo. Gray, at Rhodes' store. In another column the Foresters draw attention to their annual ball by advertisement.
