CAPE RIFLEMAN'S STORY. The part which the Cape Mounted Rifles in common with other colonial troops, have so nobly born in tha South African war is now a matter of hist ry. and their gallant defence of Wepener under Lieutenant Colonel Dalgetty untill relieved by Major-General Brabant's Irregular Horse, evoked a chorus of praise throughout the I <£p British Empiie JJsT / i*- Our r<«porN VS_V_fi^/F^-. er therefore y-^^^^N^JS^i-^^p--^. eagerly seized """ \ *^ c oppor- —■ — f iU) yv\ tunity of interrJ iJL:_r- viewing M r (tj'yY^^^^ir^ Michael If ( o C? " There I served in the Cape Mounted Rifles where I met with a deal of bush experience that fi ted me for a settler's life. In 73 I s-ittled in New Zealand on the Napier Road, near Upper Huit, and am still there. Six years ago whilst moving a portab'e engine on the farm I was knocked down and the horse drew the engine over my feet. Doctors were called in and I was treated for a compound fracture of the foot and nervous derangement. The accident unnerved my system : I could not sleep, always felt dull and listless, and suffered from creeping-like pains throughout the body. The physician said that matter which shou d have come from the foot at the time of the accident, had spread throughout the system. Noticing Dr Williams' pink pills advertised in the Times I commenced them. Several boxes invigorated my system, roade my blood rich and red, and expelled the poisonous matter from my body. I continued them until quite cured. Despite my 67 y ars lam as well as ever. For cv ing nervous derangement and i.l health I stro: gly recommend Dr Williams' pink j pills, but sufferers must always get the j genuine with the fu 1 name in r« d on the ' out 'ide wrapper. I found out to my cost that the common pink pill so often sold . are of no value whatever." Mounted Rifleman Bourne's remarks conceding common pink pill . aro perfeotly true. Only the genuine Dr Williams' pink pills can cure the diseases they are advertised to cure, such as rheu- j ma: ism, neuralgia, fciatica, bronchitis, | erysipelas, paralysis, rickets, scrofula, St : Vitus' dance, eto. So!d by chemi. ts, store- 1 keepers, and the Dr Wiliams' Medicine Co., Wellington, three shillings pt-r box, post free— But mind yoa ask for Dr Williams' —the kind used by Rifleman Bourne. q__ _— _____ ___■■■————■_— ■ — i
