Adelphi Dramatic Company.

This talented and popular organisation which opens on Wednesday evening next at the Foxton Public Hall is referred to in very flattering terms by our contemporaries. Messrs Sims and Pettitt's . world-famous military, sensational and emotional drama "In the Ranks," in which the company open on Wednesday night holds the record run of any play in Australasia of 17 weeks at Her Majesty's Theatre, Sydney, under Mr George Eignold's management. Speaking of the Adelphi Company's production the Greytown Standard says : " There need be no hesitation in declaring that "In the Ranks " is the best play of its kind yet seen here. We might indeed go further and assert without fear of contradiction that it would be impossible to name any piece produced of recent years on the Colonial stage in whioh rapidity of movement, dramatic intensity, and sustained interest of story are so conspicuous. We have only the highest praise for 'In the Banks,' in which skilful construction, strenuous writing, and coherent action combine to make a play of great and distinct merit. To the members of the Adelphi Dramatic Company unqualified praise can be given. Acting so spontaneous and so admirable has not been witnessed in Greytown. Messrs Hodge and Harpur, the Adelphi Company's managers are to be congratulated on the, success their company is meeting with.". Surely such a clever combination should draw a packed house on Wednesday night next.
