ROYAL ASSENT^TO THE COMMONWEALTH BILL. The Premier of N.S. Wales (Sir William Lyne) has received a cable message from the Hon. E. Barton (the N«w South Wales representative on
the federal delegation) announcing tliat the Queen's assent was given to the ConunoinveaUh Bill on the 9th J'llvMr Barton announces that the Queen gladiy assented to a suggestion m rule by Mr Chamberlain, at the request of the delegates, that she should sign the Commission giving assent to the Bill in duplicate. He will bring out the duplicate copy, and the table, pen and inkstand used by her Majesty as {lifts for presentation to the Federal Parliament.
