Primitive M thodist Church.
The second of the series ot socials was held in the Methodist Hall on Tuesday evening, and passed off most successfully. The Rev. W. Woollass occupied the chair, and called upon Mrs T. Nye 1 1 give a song, which was received well and encored. Miss Wallace recited in her usual style. Mr and Mrs Wonllass rendered the duet " The Gipsy Countess " very well and were encored. Mr Drummond sang two songs, both being sung splendidly and encored. Mr T. Westwood sang " When you and I were young Maggie." Miss Simpson was encored for singing "Mona." Mr F. Bray gave both a recitation and a song, and was called back on both occasions. Messrs Woollass and Westwood gave the duet " Tired." Miss Osborne was the accompanyist for the evening. Mr E. Westwood and Mr A. R. Osborne provid%d the social and a most ample supper was banded round and enjoyed
by all. Mr Woollass proposed the hearty thanks of the meeting to all who had helped to make the evening so enjoyable, and Mr Westwood replied. Miss Wallace was in charge of the game?, and they caused great merriment. The next social is to be held on Monday, the 16th.
