The following will represent Foxton in their match against Maoukau on Saturday, at Levin :— Symons, Hoppy Furrie, Rewite, O'Carrol or Laing, Hunter, Sullivan, Samuels, Kennedy, Hanna, Roa, O'Dwyer, Gustersonv Munroa. Emergencies: Dunn, Brown, Gobp. , The following matches take place on Saturday :— Raukawa v. Horowhenua, at Weratoa ; Foxton v. Manukan, at Levin } Lqyin v. Ohau, at | Ohau. i All the above should be interest* ! ing matches, but the greatest at-> traction will be the Raukawa-Hbro-wbenua fixture. On Horowhenua'p performances this year they should win. Raukawa is seldon strong away from its own ground, and Horowhenua being at home should about beat them. The other match at Levin, Fbxton v. Manukau should also be interesting, but if Foxton's play last Saturday against Horowhenua is any criterion, they should get home against Manukau providing of course the same team can be Dispatched. But Manukau is an improving team and may make things- very warm for the local boys. Levin should beat Ohau, although they won't have much to sp^tre. The team had some hard luck in getting some of it* players injured against Horowhenua. Ostler the captain has not been able to don the jersey since. These matches end the fixtures for the first round, except the protest match between Foxton and Raukawa. It is not settled where it is to take place, but in any case Raukawa must travel and so may get away weak.
