Peasant riots have lately taken place in the Varna district, on the Black j Sea coast of Bulgaria. : A force of troops was sent by the Government to quell the disturbances, and was strongly opposed by the riotera. In the fighting that ensued ninety of the peasants were killed and 372 wounded. i
