Sch ool Committee Meeting.
The above committee held its monthly meeting on Tuesday evening, the Rev W. Woollass in the chair. The Inspector's Report of the recent examination was read and discussed, great gratification being expressed at the results, which showed that 93 per Cont. of the scholars had passed in then* respective standards. A special vote of thanks was passed to the headmaster and staff, all tbe teachers being complimented upon the success of the school*
The chairman and headmaster with Mr Spring were appointed to collect subscriptions in order to give prizes to tne scholars who had obtained the highest number of marks in each aticndard. ]|||t'»was also resolved to ask the iMP- ts to co-operate with the com- ' ttffl&s, in order to secure regularity of by tbe scholars, as if the attendance is not kept up, the teachers will be reduced, as they were last ■jf&ffi and tbe wbole school has to suffer, if parents -fculd please make a note of this, ahd send their children regtdarly.f it will greatly help the 'teaohers as will the scholars. Conespondence was read from the Board and several accounts passed (or payment.
