So Bushie, it being against orders to land per gangways slid down a rope, and after he had kissed the girl she gave him the badge. Then there was a wild rush to the edge of the wharf by a crowd of girls wearing badges. The men and boys who were hawking them about wondered why their stock was suddenly bought up, and why good looking young women offered ißd and 2S 6d, for a six-penny , adornment. The buyers had their 7* reward, and many men of the N.S.W. and Q. contingents were soon sliding down ropes and widly hugging and kissing Miss Croweater in general. It they can only fight as they hugged ?— Bulletin.
