Foxton Racing Club.
. ♦ A meeting of the Committee of the above Club wa3 held last night. The stakes, £650; totalisator tax, £107 8s ; salaries, £78 10s ; and investments £144, were passed. A sum of £20 was voted to the Mayor's Transvaal Patriotic Fund. A general conversation took place as to the future improvements to be : carried out, and the feeling was in ' favour of having a caretaker appointed for the course — the club ereoting a cottage, alterations to the totalisator house, enlargement of the Stewards' room, erection of a telegraph office, and the training track to be widened by half a chain.
