Suicide.

Very early yesterday morning William York, dodk ofthe schooner Whangaroa, cut his throat with a big carving knife on board of that vessel which is lying alongside the wharf. The mate sent word to Constable Forster, who secured Dr Meares' services and went to the nidri: Thie ddctot examined him and ordered his removal to some place in town as he was not fit to be sent to the hospital owing to being too weak. He was then taken to Mrs Fyford's house who has since attended to him. The unfdrtunate man died at ii o'clock last night and an inquest will be held this afternoon at four o'clock.
