Smoke Concert.

After the cjuirterly meeting of the Court Pride of Foitdn, A.0.F.," on Tuesday night a very enjoyable and successful smoke concert was held. A fair number were present and a very good programme of instrumental music, songs and recitations was gone through. During the evening a most substantial supper wa9 provided by Mr A. Langley, which it is needless to aay was done full justice to. Mr Smith, of the steamer Huia, played all the accompaniments, and this performer also helped in a great measure to make the evening pass pleasantly by his singing and other contributions. The following contributed songs: — Messrs Smith, A. C. Stansell, A. Baker, Macintosh, McGonigle, Small, Diamant, and J. Andrews. During an interval Mr Smith played a march in a very creditable manner. "Auld Lang Syne" and "God Save the Queen" brought the affair to a fitting conclusion.
