London.

ANOTHER TRIPLE ALLIANCE. In the course of a speech, at Leicester, the Right Hon. J. Chamberlain Secretary of State for the Colonies, "scathingly denounced the recent attacks that have been made in French newspapers on the Queen. The Hon. gentleman, in the course of his remarks, hinted that the consequences would be serious if these attacks were persisted in. Proceeding to discuss the European outlook Mr Chamberlain declared that every Briton must feel grateful to Lord Salisbury, for it was due to the Prime Minister that England's foreign relations had so steadily improved. The result of recent negotiation, he said, was that an unwritten alliance, or understanding, now existed besween Great Britain, the United States and Germany. The united interests and sentiments of these three Powers would, he pointed out, . prove a mightier influence for peace than any number of armies.
