Wedding.
A quiet wedding was celebrated yesterday in town when the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Sullivan, Johanna, was married to Mr Watson Henson, by the Rev. Father de Lach, at the bride's parents residence. The bride who looked exceedingly nice was attired in a white cashmere dress trimmed with white silk, and wore a straw hat similarly trimmed with the
addition of ostrich feathers. Miss A. Scanlon was- the bridesmaid. Mr Henson had Mr B, Spelman for his bestman. Mr Watson Henson resides on his farm in the Awa Hon, Pohangina Block, and is the son of one of the oldest settlers in this district who we were pleased to see present. Mr and Mrs Henson Senr, are residents of Rongotea, and old settlers will remember that about 28 years ago he introduced the first small steamer, the " Pioneer" upon this river. The wedding cake Wis 6iie of the works of art for which Mr Langley is so wellknown and was highly praised. We wish the newly married couple the best of wishes. Mr and Mrs Sullivan entertained their guests at a substantial and choice breakfast which was done full justice to. The newly wedded couple left by this morning's train for their home, and were bid adieu to by their numerous friends who showered rice freely upon them.
